Minho Scarves
For centuries, northern Portugal has been known for its rich textile tradition, where traditional scarves symbolize cultural heritage, artistry, and timeless elegance. The collection highlights three iconic scarves: the Vianense, the Meadela, and the Minhoto, each representing the history and identity of the region.
The Vianense Scarf, part of the Lavradeira costume, is light and elegant, made from wool, silk, or cotton. The Meadela Scarf, originating from the parish of Meadela, is practical and historically worn by working communities. The Minhoto Scarf is more durable, commonly used in Minho’s folk costumes.
Modern viscose versions preserve the traditional designs while offering comfort, vibrant prints, affordability, and versatility, though without hand embroidery.
All scarves are certified to guarantee authenticity and high-quality craftsmanship, allowing anyone to proudly wear and celebrate Portuguese tradition.
